Founded in 2021, Railroad Recording Company is a recording studio with pro gear and experience, but with the comforts and cost of a home studio. The studio is located in Chesterville, ON, about 45 minutes south of Ottawa.
Dave played on his first recording at 8 years old, and by age 12 was working as a professional musician. He went on to study sound engineering and recording production in England in 2001. Dave has won many awards such as Kent Musician of the Year, and the Blues Matters Writer’s Poll for best drummer. He has toured the world playing everything from rock and blues to classical and theatrical productions. Dave has been featured in Classic Rock, The NME, and Classic Rock the Blues magazines.
Laura started out in music playing in rock bands as a teenager. She later went on to study music at Carleton University, where she was awarded the university medal in music. Laura tours internationally and she has had the chance to get on stage with musicians such as Buddy Guy, and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. She is a two time winner of the Maple Blues Award for bassist of the year, an award which honours musicians from across Canada. In June 2021, Laura was featured on the cover of Bass Player Magazine, and she proudly endorses Eden Amplification, GHS Strings, and Westone Audio.
"Our band, "Don't Tell Sarah" came to Dave at RRC with a vision, 6 songs and a tiny budget. Dave really made us feel at home, letting us stay for extended sessions and always making sure we had what we needed. He was extremely professional, delivered an amazing product and charges far too cheap in my opinion. Railroad Recording Company is a top notch studio with state of the art gear and amazing hands behind them. It truly feels like a million dollar studio. Cannot recommend enough for any style of music you're looking to record. You're sure to get an amazing product." - Shane Preston April 12, 2022
